The Superb Yamaha VMAX Motorcycle Is definitely Not A Bike For Rookies

Are you interested in racing motorcycles, or are you just looking for some recreational riding with a powerful motorcycle? The Yamaha VMAX, or Velocitus Maximus for short, first emerged on the market in 1985 and is considered to be one of the fastest motorcycles on the market. This isn’t a bike for beginners, but for those who are seasoned riders, and wanting speed and excitement when riding their motorcycle. It is a more substantial bike, that has continued to be a top seller, and its name VMAX is synonymous with speed.

Its most spectacular feature is the V-Boost which is capable of speeds as much as 800 RMP. Four downshaft carburetors look after the cylinders and are separated by butterfly valves. Currently the V-Boost gives a horsepower that is unmatched by other hot rod bikes on the market. The V-Boost also allows VMAX quick and smooth acceleration. Using a V4 1200 CC engine, V-Boost, and 145 HP, the first VMax was just offered in the USA. A slower product, providing 104 HP, was released by Yamaha to Europe and France in 1986. The European bikes were not equipped with the potent V-Boost. In 1990 the design was improved a little by having digital electronic ignition, and also that year, this motorcycle was first brought to Japan.

Since they were imposing more stringent restrictions on noise in Europe changes had to be made to the European model. In 1998, Yamaha brought back its chrome design and style which had been changed by a really unpopular black exhaust system in 1996. The VMAX provides considerably more power than many bike riders favor but the members of the VMAX Owners Association couldn’t be happier with their bikes. Motorcycle rallies and races are often sponsored by the Association for their members. With the speed of the VMAX delivering a distinctive advantage or competitors, the bike it is also very popular with drag racers. VMAX bikes that have been modified have at times exceeded speeds of 200 MPH in quarter mile contests.

The Yamaha VMAX has persistently been a top motorcycle preference since it came into the market in 1985. Its black and chrome color gives the bike a powerful and almost muscular appearance. The rather bland color design is frequently the only fault people can see with this bike. You can, of course, mitigate against the ‘high risk profile’ of your car by installing features like air bags and anti-lock brakes, which could see its risk profile lowered to be at par with the ’safer’ car models.

Your age too could be a factor against you in the pricing of your car insurance premiums, and about this, there is little you can do. As it turn out, it has been observed that younger people (below 50 years of age) are more predisposed to careless driving than older folks, and this fact tends to manifest in what the respective demographic groups are charged for car insurance premium. So if you go shopping for car insurance with your 50+ friends, and they end up being charged lower premiums (all factors held constant) you shouldn’t be really surprised.

Removing Car Windows Tint

It is not necessarily hard to remove the window tint from your car, but it can take a significant amount of time. It is more time consuming and complex of a job than getting the tint on to your windows in the first place.

If you would like to remove the window tint yourself, be sure to do it on a day where you have plenty of time. There is more to the job than just getting the old tint off of the windows. Provided that the tint was put on the right way, it is not necessarily going to come off easily. You will want to have all of the supplies on hand that you need to do the job before you start trying to remove your window tint.

The best time to do this is on a warm, sunny day ” heat will help the adhesive attaching the tint to your windows to dissolve more easily. Try to choose a day which is not uncomfortably warm, since you will need to be outside for a few hours to get the job done.

Window tint is generally applied in two layers. The top layer is fairly easy to remove; the other is much harder to take off. You need to remove both layers at the same time or you will be left slowly picking away at the second layer, which can take many hours. One thing to keep in mind is that the tint on your rear window will be stuck on the defrost lines, so remove the window tint very carefully here or you could damage your defrost lines.

As you work to remove your window tint, get anything out of the way which can make it difficult to get the job done. Speakers or anything else which could get in the way should be moved before you start working. You will need some large plastic trash bags, preferably black. Cut the bags so the entire window can be covered.

Next, get inside and using a spray bottle, apply ammonia to the inside of the window. Do this very carefully with the doors open ” you do not want to inhale any ammonia. Leave your car in the sun and cover the inside of the windows with plastic trash bags as well to keep the ammonia sealed in.

The idea of all of this is to dissolve the glue holding the window tint on so that you can peel off the tint easily. Once the windows have been covered with the ammonia and water and left in the sun for about an hour, it will be easy to peel the tint off. Now, start peeling off the tint starting at the edges, uncovering the windows as you go. Use a razor blade and work slowly ” you do not want to end up having to scrape away at missed pieces later on.

Once you have peeled off the tint, clean the windows off with very fine steel wool (coarse steel wool can scratch your windows) and ammonia to remove any remaining glue. You may need to use ammonia only for the back windows.

Thoroughly rinse off the ammonia and then simply clean your windows with a glass cleaner (Windex is a good choice for this).

Remember, this is not generally a fast process. Be patient and take your time so that it comes off the first time you try it.
